Reasons Why You’re Not Seeing Results from Working Out

September 28, 2021

Have you ever wondered why after routinely exercising, you still haven’t seen the expected results yet? Maybe you’ve been doing something that you should not do after exercising. The fact is there are few things that will make your exercise program feel useless. Let’s talk about this now!

Dos and Don’ts after working out

Drink enough water is a human daily need. It is even more important if you’re routinely exercising. Drink enough water after your training is a must. During exercise, your body will sweat which reduces your body water level. It makes someone who exercises will need more water intake.

On the other hand, after you finish exercising, don't let yourself go crazy while eating. After burning a lot of fat and calories, it's normal to feel hungry. This is caused by the calories you burn. Your body needs replacement. However, that does not mean you are free to eat any food in excessive portions. You should eat complex carbohydrates and high-fat protein. Protein foods will be easily digested and of course with the right portions.

Another factor that also needs consideration is warm-up and cooling-down. Before exercising, you need to warm your body up in order to avoid soreness and lessen your risk of injury. As well as the warmup, cool down after exercise is also necessary. Cool your body down is good for relaxation after intense physical activity and to prevent muscle spasms. Unfortunately, some people still overlook the importance of cooling down.

One of the reasons why you have not seen any results is because you’re being lazy after hours of exercise. Basically, laziness has no good effect on your body, especially if you’re in the training program. So, you’re expected to keep being active even on your rest day. It’s totally okay to rest, but being lazy and lay down from dawn to dusk is a big no. Instead of laying down on your bed the whole day, you can just do small activities, such as walking on stairs or walk around your house. We call it non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT), and it can double your exercise benefits.

So, it is the right time for you to change your entire lifestyle. The fact is routine exercise won’t change anything if it is not followed by a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet. If you do all this, you will see the results in no time.
