WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT: ROUTINE EXERCISE OR ENOUGH SLEEP?

May 19, 2022

Regular exercise and getting enough sleep are two things that the human body really needs. But when faced with the question, which one is more important of the two activities, which one is more important, right?

Regular exercise and adequate sleep can be likened to food and water. Apart from both being equally important, they also cannot be separated because they complement each other. As stated by sleep medicine researchers at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco, someone who regularly exercises will get better quality sleep than those who don't exercise regularly, and getting quality sleep is certainly needed by everyone for physical performance.

However, sleep is the most basic need for the body of every human being which is the foundation on which a healthy mind and body are formed. If the foundation is not built properly, you can be sure it will have an impact on your body's health. Such as impaired immunity, energy, appetite, mood, and others.

Therefore, to be able to keep exercising regularly, make sure your body is getting quality sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, adults normally need 7-9 hours of sleep each night. And for those of you with insomnia, doing aerobics regularly can improve sleep quality and not get tired easily during the day.
