[INFOGRAPHIC] 5 Ways to Eat Yourself Healthy During Chinese New Year

February 17, 2015

Festive celebration is a dangerous landmine filled with unhealthy temptation. Learn how to enjoy the day without messing your diet!

1. KNOW YOUR CALORIES
Come prepared and try to find an estimation of how much calories are in the food you'd be eating. Here’s a guide to calorie content of popular Chinese New Year’s feast:
2. EAT BEFORE THE FEAST
Don't come with an empty stomach! Eat something beforehand to guarantee you won't overstuff yourself later!

3. DRINK LOTS OF WATER
Try to drink a lot of water to fill your stomach. You'll feel fuller and less likely to overindulge yourself

4. AVOID TEMPTATION
Out of sight, out of mind! Try to avoid temptation by sitting far away from the snack bar or the nearest festive munchies!

5. CONTROL YOUR PORTION
Portion out everything you're eating on a plate so you'll be in full control of how much you're eating at all times! Learn more on portion control HERE.

THE KEY IS TO BE MINDFUL
Don't blindly eat everything to your heart's (or maybe in this case stomach's) desire. Eat in moderation and enjoy the festive celebration!
