5 Lifestyles You Have To Avoid!
The lifestyle you’re adopting will have a direct impact on your overall health. So, having an unhealthy lifestyle will make you unhealthy, too. Avoid these 5 lifestyles like the plague for a healthier life!
#1 TAKING SEDATIVES OR SLEEPING PILLS
Nowadays, everyone has to deal with insomnia. High stress level and piling workload can have a bad impact on people including difficulty sleeping, which lead them to rely on sedatives or sleeping pills to get some shut eye at appropriate time. Getting enough sleep is important but this habit has to stop! In the long term, relying on these pills to get some sleep can do some damage to your liver.
If you really need some help to get a quality rest, you can swap those pills with a healthier alternative: meditation. Turn off all lights in your bedroom, light up some aromatherapy candles, and do some meditation to ease some of the stress and get yourself more relaxed. This will in turn help you get some sleep without having to chow down on any medicine.
#2 BOOZE-FILLED NIGHT OUTS
Drinking a certain amount of alcohol does have the benefit of reducing the risk for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. In a day, you’re only allowed to drink one glass of alcoholic beverage. Excessive alcohol consumption can cause high blood pressure and damage to your liver. Night outs might be more fun with alcohol, but try to cut down or even eliminate the amount of drinks you take!
#3 SMOKING LIKE A CHIMNEY
Incessant smoking habit is nothing new these days, both in male and female. High stress level is the commonly used justification for a huff and puff – even when they know full well the fatal consequences of cigarettes.
There are a lot of diseases associated with smoking – cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and infertility just to name a few. If you’re planning to stop, you can trade cigarettes with snacks or candies. Even though it’s going to take a while, you can surely stop this bad habit!
#4 HIGH SUGAR INTAKE
eating a lot of sweet stuff can drive you to eat more than you actually need. According to an American medical practitioner, Dr. Clayton, our body will crave for caloric intake when we eat sweet-tasting food. So, to avoid this, you can trade your sweet snacks with naturally sweet fruits like apple to fulfill your sweet tooth cravings.
#5 EXCESSIVE DIET SODA CONSUMPTION
For people on a diet, drinking diet coke might be a trade off they make in place of the calorific regular soda. But did you know that excessive consumption of diet coke could make you addicted to caffeine? There is the same amount of caffeine in a diet coke as there is in espresso.
The soda in diet coke can also ruin the enamel layer on your teeth if you have diet soda everyday. So, limit your intake of diet soda! One a day is the maximum “dosage” you should have. Always drink regular water after you finish a can to minimize its damage!
